Bradford Colton is a research engineer for American Pacific Corp.’s Halotron Division, in Nevada. In his role, Colton evaluates and researches new fire extinguishing agents while offering technical support for the company’s Halotron clean fire extinguishing agent product lines. He also conducts classroom and live fire training for fire extinguishers and ARFF (Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting) vehicle systems.
Colton has published several research articles related to fire extinguishing agents and holds two US patents for agent formulations. He is currently Head of Delegation of the US Technical Advisory Group for ISO standards on portable fire extinguishers and is a director of the Silver State ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) section. He has been a member of the UNLV Mechanical Engineering Advisory Board for more than five years and is an industry mentor to the Tau Beta Pi Honor Society.
